Pre-Bidding
Busy on auction day? Unable to watch the auction live, unsure about your internet connection, or not yet confident with live online bidding? Pre-bidding is the perfect solution — it lets you place and secure your bids ahead of time with ease.
1. What is a pre-bid?
A Pre-Bid represents the maximum amount you’re willing to pay. By placing a Pre-Bid, you authorize Euro Auctions to bid on your behalf, up to the maximum amount you specified.
2. How do I place a pre-bid?
Locate the item you’re interested in the catalogue and select the grey “Sign in to pre-bid” button. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to sign in, then enter the maximum amount you wish to bid. You will receive confirmation of your bid both on-screen and via email.
3. When can I place a Pre-Bid?
Pre-bidding is available up until the lot opens for Live Bidding.
4. How do I know if my bid has been registered?
Euro Auctions will notify the pre-bidder by email when their bid has been successfully received or if it has been outbid.
5. What happens if the description changes on the lot I have placed a Pre-Bid on?
If any description changes are made to lots that already have pre-bids placed, those pre-bids will become invalid. All bids are executed at the discretion of the auctioneer. The pre-bidder will be notified of the changes via email.
Please Note: you will receive an email notification if you are outbid by another pre-bid, however due to the fast-paced nature of live auctions you WILL NOT receive an email notification when outbid during LIVE bidding.
